About Dr Bella Ellwood-Clayton

Dr Bella Ellwood-Clayton is an internationally acclaimed sexual anthropologist. She studied in Montreal, Canada, and completed a PhD on women’s sexuality at the University Melbourne, Australia. Her doctoral thesis was on the sex lives of women in the Philippines. Her work in the jungles of Sumatra, Indonesia, was featured in a popular National Geographic documentary. In 2012, her nonfiction book, Sex Drive: in Pursuit of Female Desire, was published with Allen & Unwin. She writes for publications such as Huffington Post and Daily Life and appears regularly on television, radio, and gives talks about love and relationships, including a TEDx talk. Married, she is a mom of two spirited children and a Maltese who thinks he’s a pit bull.
